2006年早春、待望のミックスCDがリリースされる。DMCやAllies Allstar Beatdown等のバトルで、国内、世界での様々なタイトルを獲得。そのスキルを活かし、降神のバックDJとしてもその存在をアピールする。そのくせ、自身のプレイは、その若さからは考え難いLate 80's / Early 90's中心な選曲。こんな多彩な経歴を持つDJ Shunによる、ミックスCDがようやくお目見えする。正直、飽和状態と言っても過言ではないミックステープ / ミックスCD群の中において、バトルで培った技術や安定性、ライブDJとして学んだワビサビや音楽感性を武器にワン・アンド・オンリーな1本を作り上げた。昨今、所謂『ミドル・スクール』と呼ばれる楽曲群がフリークの間で話題になっている。B.D.Kの"I'm Ready"の声を合図に勢いよく切れ過ぎな擦りを聞かせるイントロから始まり、時には"Lesson 4"-"Men At Work"-"Style Worrior Returnz"と"Apach"ネタ繋がりでウィットに富んだミックスを挟んだりしながらPaul Hardcastleから、Hijack、X-ecutionersまでを決してやり過ぎることなく、スムースに聞かせるこのミックスもその類に分類されるであろうが、大凡、殆どのヴァイナル・ジャンキーでも到底知らないようなレアな盤を盛り込んだものから、定番モノで勢いよく聞かせるモノまで。様々な『ミドル物』のミックスが幾つもリリースされ、その中から他との差別化を図ったマスター・ピースとなるようなモノも生まれてきている中、この「Don't Stop The Rock」も、間違いなくそのうちのの1本になるであろう。
